Wizards! Time flies so fast, and we are now on our 8th Magic Monday! A lot has happened over the week, and we are here to uncover them all, starting with the recent partnerships with Houdini Swap.
We are proud to announce that we are partnering with KAVA and Bitgert!
KAVA is a decentralized blockchain that combines the speed and interoperability of Cosmos with the developer power of Ethereum. Its native token, $KAVA is now listed on Houdini Swap, and you can now cross-chain swap $KAVA anonymously and securely.
Bitgert is theWorld’s First Zero Gas Fee blockchain ecosystem offering unbeatable speed with top-level security and scalability.
Security Incident with Houdini Swap
It was a wild ride this week. Houdini Swap has been dealing with its own situation in conjunction with the Silicon Valley Bank contagion, the USDC madness, and the wild volatility.
On March 11, around 4 am UTC, we learned of a security incident relating to Houdini Swap’s website. A user came to us with a support ticket saying that their swap was “stuck.” After a quick investigation, it became clear that something was not right.
Our talented support team took immediate action and put the website into Maintenance Mode. There were a lot of unknowns because we were pushing code updates at the same time.
Houdini Swap was hit with a phishing attack. Luckily, the attacker only got away with one user’s transaction, which we will refund with no problem. Plus, our strong relationships with Binance and other exchanges have proven to be helpful because there is already a trail we all gathered that will be sent to authorities.
For a privacy swap, we are a highly transparent team, and we will always make the right decision of transparency, even if it’s the harder one. Rest assured, we will make sure that this incident will not happen again. This incident has only made Houdini Swap’s security system even more impenetrable.
Hold on to your hats for this week’s Magic Monday Swap Report
It’s been a hectic week. Houdini Swap was in Maintenance Mode for 3 days; that’s almost half a week! But still, Houdini Swap managed to have a swap volume of a staggering $889,407, with 468 anonymous swaps over the week! Such an impressive feat even though we had a short week.
As always, it is important to keep in mind that Houdini Swap is still a growing platform, so it’s best to manage expectations accordingly. However, it is a promise from us that we are constantly working to innovate and establish partnerships to create more opportunities for users to swap their preferred tokens anonymously.
Buybacks will still be $20,000!
As expected, given that we only had a short week and there was a lower swap volume, the project only generated around $10,000. However, so that we won’t see a dip in the buyback volume, we agreed that we will bump that up to $20,000 from our own pockets.
We will not let this one security incident serve as a step back in any way for the whole community and for us.
Houdini Swap Operational Update
We are stoked to announce that we are getting even closer to issuing our API, allowing other projects to plug into Houdini Swap’s infrastructure while maintaining their branding.
This is a massive undertaking that has taken hundreds of hours to build and document, and we have a significant list of interested projects waiting for our API release. This is a core focus for us, and we plan to provide a final update on Magic Monday, and then the API will be ready to launch.
The White Rabbit Society has turned 1 month!
We would like to congratulate the White Rabbit Society for turning 1 month, a team that has become such a core part of Houdini Swap. They truly are an extension of us, pushing Houdini swap leaps and bounds forward in the way that they’re able to spread messages, create new ideas, and come up with interesting content, contests, and so many other things.
Congratulations on turning 1 month!
